How to Deploy the Carbon Bags for Best Results
Activated carbon works by adsorbing airborne compounds as air moves across the media. Placement matters.
1. Place Near Active Airflow (Most Important)
Near exhaust outlets
Inside or just outside miner enclosures
Along natural airflow paths in rooms or containers
Avoid placing bags in stagnant areas with little air movement.
2. Do Not Block Fans or Vents
Position bags adjacent to airflow, not directly over fans
Leave space around the mesh bag for unrestricted air movement
Never restrict air intake or exhaust
3. Use Both Bags Strategically
Both inside an enclosure, spaced apart
orOne near miners, one in the general room area
This distributes adsorption more evenly.
4. Height Matters
Mid-height to upper-height placement is effective
In containers, hanging or mounting slightly above miner height works well
Mesh bags may be laid flat, hung, or mounted using zip ties or Velcro straps.
Carbon Refresh & Replacement Schedule
Refreshing (Limited Reuse)
Every 2–4 weeks, placing carbon bags in direct sunlight for 1–2 hours can help release some adsorbed compounds in certain environments.
This does not fully regenerate the carbon but may extend usable life.
Replacement (Recommended)
